With greater competition in the airline industry, you would think that they would be going out of their way to secure customers and providing a service better than their competition.
On our flight from Bangkok to Melbourne we found the services provided by Thai Airways as substandard. We found it odd that we didn’t have any in-flight entertainment guide in our seat pocket, and after being in the air for an hour, we noticed that the inflight service was not working in our section. We questioned the flight staff (who were helpful) and they said they reset it a number of times without any success. With less than 1.5 hours left in the flight, we were offered to move seats, however I told the crew it was too late to start watching a movie now.
Not only did the in-flight system not work, the foot rest was also broken and wouldn’t stay up. The in-flight food seems to be getting smaller and now, I need to have a meal before getting on a flight. If they are failing to maintain internal services, what can be said about their overall aircraft maintenance?
There is a lot of completion out there, and I think the quality and service needs to improve.
