Gaggan is a restaurant run by chef Gaggan Anand in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2018, it comes top of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for the fourth consecutive year in the list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Currently rated as number 7 in the world and it shows. I booked some months in advanced and even though I’m a pescatarian, they catered for all my requirements.
It is a 25 course extraviganza, dishes I could never assume ever to be possible.
The menu is presented as emojis so you only get a hint of each course and although the waiter will explain a little, it’s not until the end of the meal when they reveal the real menu. It’s an overlay on the emoji, which is very clever.
The restaurant is NOT cheap, but you can expect that for the 7th best restaurant in the world.
It’s well worth a visit as this restaurant will be closing soon so get in quick.
